Sagging and dragging gates
The most common gate problem by a distance. Usually a hinge that has worn or a post that has moved, not a gate that needs replacing.
Swings clean. Latches every time.
Gates take more abuse than anything else on a property. Every open and close is load on three or four fixings, and Perth ground moves. When a gate starts dragging, the gate is usually fine — the post, the hinge or the ground has shifted.

Hinges rusted, bent or pulling out of the post. We repair the fixing point properly rather than driving a longer screw into a failed hole.
Gates that no longer latch from every position. Pool and safety gates have specific requirements, and a gate that only latches sometimes does not meet them.
Posts that have rotted at ground level, rusted at the base, or worked loose in the footing.
Damaged timber palings, Colorbond sheets, lattice and privacy slats replaced and matched.
The narrow ones that get used constantly and are almost always the first to fail.
If the frame is straight and the infill is sound, rehanging on new hinges and a corrected post is a fraction of a replacement.
A gate that will not close is usually telling you about the post. Fixing the gate alone means it comes back.
Rusted-through frames and rotted posts do reach the end. We will tell you rather than sell you a repair that fails next winter.
Send the details through and it lands with us straight away. We work from written enquiries rather than phone calls — it means nothing gets lost and your quote is accurate the first time.
Almost always. Dragging usually means a hinge has worn or the post has leaned, not that the gate is warped. We correct the cause rather than trimming the bottom of the gate, which only buys a season.
We repair gates and their hardware, including self-closing and self-latching mechanisms. Pool barriers are subject to specific regulation and inspection in WA, so if the job is about achieving compliance we will tell you where our work ends and a certified inspection begins.
Usually close. Timber weathers and Colorbond colours are discontinued over time, so a new panel will rarely look identical to a fifteen-year-old fence immediately. We will be upfront before starting.
We repair sections, posts, panels and gates. A full boundary fence replacement is usually better with a dedicated fencing contractor, and we will say so rather than take it on.
